Tonight, we start a new phase of our journey. Lent is the season before Easter. It’s used as a time of reflection and self-denial that should lead to deepen our walk with Christ. This year, our focus during this season is what it means to be a witness at the cross of Jesus. What comes to mind as you consider the cross of Christ? What does it mean? How does it matter as you move through your day? Our focus on this night is a truth we don’t often want to confront. We are sinners and We are mortal. We are witnesses. What story will we tell the world about what Jesus has done for us?
